Trilogy Launches UK construction product with Great American International Insurance DAC as capacity provider

London, 26 February 2019, Trilogy Managing General Agents Ltd (Trilogy), today announces the launch of its new UK construction product, with capacity provided by Great American International Insurance DAC.

The new UK construction product features high policy limits of up to £10,000,000, offering comprehensive cover (contact works, owned and hired in plant) for most building, civil and engineering trades operating in the UK construction sector. Significant casualty cover is also available via our panel of insurers.

Trilogy has a strong appetite for UK construction risks and sees excellent opportunities to deliver its technical underwriting capabilities to the sector. UK construction has experienced a contraction in the capacity available from existing carriers in the class, driven by a number of factors including pressures in the Lloyd’s market and the fallout from significant non-UK losses.

Simon Stokoe, Trilogy’s Strategic Development Manager, commented, “In developing our UK construction product, we are responding to a real market need and delivering the products our brokers want. We see real opportunities where we can deploy our technical underwriting skills and knowledge to add real value to the market. Working alongside high quality capacity providers like Great American, I expect Trilogy to be making more announcements of new partnerships and product offerings throughout the year.”

Alec McFarlane, UK Construction Underwriting Manager, Great American International Insurance DAC added, “Great American is delighted to be working with Trilogy to bring this comprehensive UK construction solution to the market. Trilogy has an outstanding underwriting team able to offer to the highest service standards and we have no doubt there will be significant demand for this product.”
